We hope that your mahabis stay nice and fresh forever, but life happens. On the off chance that they need a clean, you'll find the washing instructions for the different mahabis models below.
Cleaning your mahabis curve (wool upper), curve canvas, breathe & alto boot:
These slippers cannot be machine washed so to keep them clean we recommend hand washing with a wet sponge.
The footbeds should be hand-washed with a gentle detergent, rinsed clean in clean, cold water and then left to air dry along with the slippers themselves.
Cleaning your mahabis classic:
We don't recommend machine washing or tumble drying your slippers. Simply use a damp cloth to clean the upper and the sole. If your footbeds are removable (they're not on all classics), they can be hand-washed with a gentle detergent.
Wool is naturally odour resistant, but if you do find your slippers getting a little, well, less pleasant on the nose, we recommend hand washing your footbeds and slipping some odour eliminating shoe bags into your slippers overnight.
Cleaning your mahabis curve shearling, curve pony (animal print), curve velvet, curve alcantara & curve quilted:

Footbeds can be hand washed with a gentle detergent.

Cleaning your mahabis luxe
The outer material of the mahabis luxe relies on brushing occasionally with a fine wire or rubber ‘suede’ brush which is used to raise the fibres and remove any surface dirt.
The leather can be easily stained, so it is a good idea to apply a nubuck/suede-style protector spray before use.
We don’t recommend using any wet cleaning products or machine washing your mahabis luxe.
